since I updated my Apple watch my health app shows less steps

Ever since I Updated my Apple Watch to my iPhone 11 the Health app shows less steps than my Apple Watch. What can I do to make it more accurate?

Health app counting steps. Just got an Apple Watch and have noticed it counts considerably less steps than my iPhone - by approx 15%. I’ve had both with me all day. Is there something I need to change to get them to be closer? also I keep reading that I can change the priority order of data sources in Health app, but every time I put Iphone at the top, within minutes it reverts to Apple Watch at top. Any ideas why?

Activity Steps vs. Health Steps My activity steps continually says I get over 10,000 steps, but when I look in the health app, it says 7,000 or so. Why would the two be different? I have my Apple Watch as my first listed source and then iPhone. Thanks for the guidance!

Steps in health app doesn't corresont to steps on my apple watch The Health app shows a lot of smaller steps than my apple watch. Over several 1000 steps less and there are always lesser steps in the health app, never the other way around. I have allowed the Health app to read data from apple watch and it is prioritized in the device list. I have also tried to deactivate the checkmark besides the iphone but I can't deactive any of these devises by pressing the checkmarks. I have read a lot of Q&A here in the forum but I can´t see any thing that I haven’t already tried, do you have any more thoughts or ideas on how to solve this? Appel watch 3 and iphone 8 wih latest ios updates
