My phone keeps saying I have to put in the password for HTTP proxy authentication what ever that means. I don’t know the password and I don’t know what HTTP proxy authentication means. Can someone please help? Thank you

We understand that you're getting a request to enter a password for proxy authentication. If you have a VPN installed and enabled. Disable first and check for the same behavior. If it continues, remove the VPN altogether from Settings > General > VPN.

Please see the steps in our previous message to remove the virtual private network (VPN). HTTP proxy basically filters web traffic that could be harmful. If you're using a managed device from school or your workplace, you may need to speak with them.

Okay, so I tried that but it keeps automatically turning back on. Also do I delete the VPN? I have another question, what does that the proxy or VPN do? Is it important?
