macbook says earpods are connected but sound plays through computer
How do I get the sound working through my earpods. My macbook says they are connected but the sound comes through the macbook speakers.

I was facing the same issue when I brought my AirPods 3 Gen.
I was using them on my mac book pro-2020.
I was having the same trouble but I have worked out how to fix this issue.
Make sure that your AirPods are connected to your MacBook, once there connected follow these steps.
- Press the apple on the left top corner of the screen.
- System Preferences.
- Sound.
You will see your AirPods in the "Output list" Please just select airpods.
Once you have done that your AirPods will now work perfectly with your Macbook.
