External display flickering

I recently purchased this stunning 4K Dell monitor and connected it to my depressing M1 MacBook Pro from Late 2020. Within a few microseconds, the Dell monitor began to flicker. I also did some research to find that tons of users are experiencing this:

I have tested to see if the issue would occur on an intel mac, another M1 mac, a Windows 10 based device and an Android based device. The issue only occurs on M1 devices. When leaving the monitor connected to the M1 mac, the flickering occurs and get so bad that when disconnecting from the mac it still exists on the display, even when powering the display off and on. It takes a little use from a non M1 device for it to return to normal.

From those links I found it interesting to see that the issue has been going for more than a year? It would be nice to talk to Apple if possible as it appears nothing is being done with the problem and has been more than a year.
