New to Apple Macbook Pro

I'm new to Apple Macbook Pro, have been given one by my nephew. It's a 2015 model and is currently running Yosemite 10.5.5 - I was wondering if I can upgrade to a newer OS or am I stuck with this one? Any help appreciated :-)

Hi, and Happy New Year.

You can upgrade to the latest macOS Monterey with System Preferences > Software Update.
