Printers and Macs

I have an Epson ET 4550 printer, I hate it or is it my Mac?

Always offline, remove, reboot, sick of it. Can't scan, print etc.

Any suggestions?

MacBook Pro 15″, macOS 11.6

Your Mac generally uses Bonjour Discovery protocol to find network resources like Printers. Bonjour relies on IPv6 set to Link-local only to look around your network and keep track of those things.


This is what Mine looks like:


but some Printer makers rely on their own Discovery Utilities, and epson provides such a Utility:
