So, did you purchase AppleCare with this? If so, take it to you local Apple store for Genius Bar Apportionment. Check here: Check Your Service and Support Coverage - Apple Support

Setting up a Genius Bar Appointment at your local Apple Store:

1. Siart here: https://www.apple.com/retail/geniusbar/
2. Scroll down to the Bottom of the page
3. Click the Get hardware help button
4. Proceed from there as necessary.

Troubleshooting a Black Mac Screen:

Go Here: If your Mac doesn't Turn On or Start Up - Apple Support

For Intal-Based Macs:: Try Resetting the SMC and NVRAM, but this time, using an external keyboard. Connect an external monitor and see if you get an output.

You should have it repaired. That will not likely be covered under warranty as the general warranty is 1 year.

No idea on the exact amount. Pricey.... Not helpful, I know.
