Showtime app sign in problems

I have already subscribed to showtime outside of apple and when I launch the Showtime app on my Apple TV it asks me to “Get” showtime instead of login . How do I sign in instead of purchasing a new account.

It sounds like you have a subscription outside of your Apple ID and are not able to log into it on your Apple TV.


Here are some resources that can help:


Review Set up accounts for other apps and channels on Apple TV and if it was through a TV provider, see Set up single sign-on with your TV provider on Apple TV.


Directly from Showtime, you might want to ensure you have the correct app What is the difference between the SHOWTIME streaming service and SHOWTIME Anytime? and also review Can I use SHOWTIME streaming service on my Apple TV even though I subscribed elsewhere?.


If you need to download an app, review Find apps in the Apple TV App Store and Purchase and download apps on Apple TV.
