Touch ID

Why are earth have you made it necessary to enter the password when you reopen your computer???? What is the use of Touch ID if you have to use the password all the time??? I have simply disabled the touch ID altogether. It's useless like this! Either it can be used like facial ID on my phone or what's the point of having it???

If you shut down or reboot the Mac, you are required to enter your password to activate TouchID. This functions exactly the same on iDevices with TouchID or FaceID. Power them down or reboot them and you need to enter your password.

Options, use Lock Screen or simply close the lid to put it to sleep instead of shutting down.

As far as usefulness, it TouchID can be used for website logins, purchase verifications, decrypting files, etc. while running the Mac.
