Intercom not working on iphone.

Hello,

i recently bought an homepod mini, everything is absolutely great and its working.

But for some reason i can’t use intercom on my iphone. I can use it on my ipad, the homepod itself, other people can send me intercom, but on my iphone, i cant see the icon in the home app and when i use siri, it responds with “to do that, you need to update your homepod software”. My homepod is updated, as well as my iphone and ipad, to the latest version.

I’m wondering if i set something wrong somewhere or what is the reason and i cant figure that out. So if you could help me, it would be nice.

No, you dont understand me. It works with my ipad and all of the other devices, but on my iphone i cant use it for some reason. The Homepod mini is on version 15.2, Iphone on iOS 15.2, iPad on iPadOS 15.1. In the Home app on iphone there is not even the logo of intercom, and i dont have the settings of intercom on iphone, but on ipad i have that. I attach some photos for you to understand.

I think its maybe just some bug in the app on iphone, i wanted to delete it and install it again, but it’s not possible. So i tried to restart the iphone, that didnt work as well.

To use Intercom, update your HomePod mini or HomePod speakers to the latest software. Then check that every device that you want to send and receive Intercom messages from—your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, or Apple Watch—is up to date. After you update, Intercom will be turned on automatically.
