Move to New Outlook for Mac

On clicking toggle to move to New Outlook, it says 'Loading.... it may take a few moments - and the message remains the same after leaving it to load for hours. What am I doing wrong?

MacBook Pro 16″, macOS 12.1

Thanks for the link for Mac Help but it doesn't have any info regarding why there could be hours of delay when I click the toggle to move to New Outlook!

Hi there - did you get a resolution for this? Have tried 3 times but I don't have all day to wait for the update so have to keep reverting back..!?
