Macbook Air M1 sold in Japan stores

Hi. I do understand that the OS is completely localized to both English and Japanese, so during the first set up when I first turn on the machine I can selected the desired language.

Question 1: will the OS be 100% in English?

Question 2: will I have any limitation when using a Japanese keyboard, but with English language set up?

Question 3: eventually I'll return to my home country, will I be covered by Apple warranty there as well? or only in Japan? (I believe it's worldwide warranty???)

Hi, and Happy New Year.

Answer1: Yes, it's 100% English environment.

Answer2: No, there is no trouble.

Answer3: As far as I know, Apple one year limited warranty as well as AppleCare are international.

wow, Happy 2022!!! and thanks for the info ... That was my guessing about it since I have an old Macbook bought in Brazil, but using all English and works perfect ... good to confirm that a Japanese one will be good as well!

You should be able to buy a machine with a US English keyboard in the Japanese online store. You will probably find that a lot easier to use than the Japanese version, especially if you are a touch typist. Compare the layouts here:

No, the picture I posted is taken from the purchase page for a laptop, it shows the options you have for the built-in keyboard. Try it yourself, just go to the online website and pretend you are buying one.
