Changing Name/Branding of Podcast
If I do change name and brand of podcast, will the change begin with the next episode published or will this affect the legacy episodes, too?

You can change the overall name of your podcast in your feed, using whatever method you used to enterit in the first place, and re-publish (upload) the feed. The change will appear for subscribers pretty well immediately but won't appear in the iTunes Store/ Apple Podcasts 'Browse' for or day or so - possibly not until you upload a new episode.
Since the name of the podcast is the 'wrapper' within which all the episodes appear, once the name change has gone through all episodes will appear as belonging to the new title.
