Battery replacement for early 2016 retina 12" macbook: do I need top DIY?

How can I get this battery replacement accomplished? Apple won't even let me schedule at a genius bar.

Some may be outside your immediate area. ~ Or contact those

who accept parcel service deliveries; & return them, same way.

Internal routing in some regions takes one to other destinations.

Thanks, K Shaffer, I suspect it is pandemic related because the link from my Apple support page indicates "Modified Genius Bar". I ended up booking with an Apple authorized supplier after confim=rming they would do the work and getting a price. I tried the BestBuy here in town but they were not helpful. Quoted me $800-$1200 saying they would have to replace the motherboard...
