I have an older Mac 2009 with El Captan can I upgrade?

Trying to upgrade my El system as I need 10.15 minimum for work to utilized citrix workspace. Cannot seem to be able to.

While you have not told us which Mac, nothing from 2009 is supported with Catalina.

Depending on Exact Age of this machine - the very best it could upGrade to is High Sierra 10.13 or Sierra 10.12
