i have downloaded and installed the latest itunes version however when i try to restore ipad it prompts me to update. how do i fix this?

Are you seeing a message on your computer about an update? Is this a Mac?

If so, it's an update for iTunes that Apple chose to push through in a different way. Go ahead and install it.
