I can no longer change the label for an existing alarm on my Apple Watch. Why not?

I do have a temporary solution. Using Siri (I just hold the crown on the watch down while I speak), I say: "Change the label on my 7:30 a.m. alarm to XXXX." This works quite reliably, although sometimes the dictation comes through a bit garbled. Hope this helps!!

This did not work for me. I deleted the alarm and established a new one with a new label.

I have had the exact same problem since about the same time! I remember there was an update (I also have OS 8.3 now) and then it stopped working. I have a 6 and my husband has a 5. I just checked and his is doing the same thing (he doesn’t relabel things like I do so he hadn’t noticed). It’s a shame because the new interface to label them (with the easily accessible finger writing or speaking options) is really great! Too bad it doesn’t work at all…

I haven’t been able to find any way to fix it myself, so I really hope Apple manages to fix this soon! It seems like such a simple thing…

At last it has been resolved together with other pains (pining the mobile with bluetooth only is back and works from greater distances again, yippee). The last update resolved not only issues on the watch but also on the iPhone. If Apple could only deal with such issues more quickly and as comprehensively as they did now.

Your solution works ideally! Why didn’t I think of that???! Don’t know why Apple did the update that changed it tho. Was so easy to change manually. Same issue happened to me: the update, the failure to change alarm label. Nice to have these answers to rely on and solve our own problems!

Seriously… this hasn’t been resolved by apple yet?? LAME!! Seems like such a simple fix for apple to make by now… please include this fix in the next software update. We shouldn’t be forced to use a workaround for something so basic as changing the name of an alarm.

Additionally there should be a way to enter watch only alarms from your phone, either in the watch app or in the phone’s alarm app by adding the option to have the alarm on both phone/watch or just click one device.

Come on Apple! I think you can make this happen! (I’m willing to bet Samsung will listen to our cries for help…just saying!)

Really, it is minor annoyance, but surely the label should be able to be changed.

Since recently also on my series 7. Will Apple provide any answer for that? So far only us having the problem, no solution posted 😫

Does Apple care at all about such issues? Why no fix after all that time? I don't use Siri and would really like to have the functionality back that had worked for years.

I am having luck changing the label if I do so when I first establish a new alarm. After saving the alarm, changing the label will occasionally work but generally will not.
