My messages will not upload to iCloud

How can I get my iPhone messages to upload to the cloud?

iPhone XR, iOS 14

Enable messages in iCloud to sync your messages across your Apple Devices (Settings > Apple ID > iCloud > Messages)

Yes, thank you very much! I Did do this but it took a couple of days for the messages to upload to the cloud. You have to be patient and wait… Thanks again!
