The Samsung ML-2161 is an older printer and does not support any modern wireless standards, including AirPrint. However, you can try to connect the printer to your Mac and Add a printer to your printer list so you can use it on Mac - Apple Support, however, you may need a new printer.

If you do need a new printer, check out the models that Apple sells: Printers & Scanners - Mac Accessories - Apple.

Hello,

Based on the older (macOS Catalina) ML-2161 compatibility information in the article https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c06520117 , have you checked whether the latest (macOS 11 Big Sur) Samsung universal print driver 3.93.01 (https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software13/printers/SS/Print_Common_SW/Samsung_Mac_Driver_V3.93.01.dmg), with the SL-M2020 model chosen (https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/samsung-xpress-sl-m2020-laser-printer-series/16462592), possibly could be used under macOS 12 Monterey as well? Since macOS 12 Monterey is different, do not expect it to work at all with your computer, though. Look upon this as an experiment only. Do not proceed unless you know what you are doing. Software conflicts cannot be ruled out, so make sure that you have backup copies of all important files (documents, photos, et cetera) before testing anything.
