Installing more up to date Safari on old mac

Hi, I have an old macOS SIERRA 10.12.6 running with Safari 12.1.2 browser. Is there any more up to date Safari version - I could install on my old machine, without doing any harm to it ?

Without upgrading the OS, no; your Mac can be upgraded at least as far as High Sierra.

Latest Version of Safari for Catalina? I have a MacBook Pro running Catalina. Please no judgement! LOL. I'm running Safari 15.6.1 on my Catalina OS 10.15.7. Can I update Safari without updating my entire OS? Thanks!
