new laser driver being blocked

I am trying to install a USB driver (CH34x) to get my new laser engraver to talk with macbook pro. When initially installed, it was blocked from security, but would not allow me to allow it with the latest update. I tried to turn off my filevault to allow for the software, but that also did not work. That was the only workaround i could find.

I dont know what else to do and i dont want to buy a PC just to run my laser.
