Ask your eMail Provider:

If not iCloud, then log in to your eMail provider's site, and see if it is seen. If not, then it may have been logged in by someone else. So, modify your credentials to it.

Modifying your Credentials:

Having is much suspicion, modify your credentials. It is something your should do every-so-often.

• Modify: your login credentials (Using Both a New eMail and a New Password for each and all sites)
• Associate: a different method of payment to your account
• Enable: Two-Factor Authentication for Apple ID and for all other accounts that have such an applicable option
