Accessibility feature not working when checked in Monterey OS



Since upgrading to Monterey, when I check the (Ignore built-in trackpad when mouse or wireless trackpad is present), I cannot use the built-in trackpad when I turn off my wireless mouse. This worked fine on previous OS versions

MacBook Pro 15″, macOS 12.1

Does the same issue present itself one booing in to Safe Mode?


Restart and immediately hold the SHIFT key and only release once the Apple Logo is appearing.


Run this mode long enough to Test.. Does it ?


To exit Safe Mode - restart normally
