Refund on a purchase that I do not want

I submitted a request for my weight watchers monthly subscription but I am not able to log into my weight watchers account. I contacted weight watchers and they said that because went thru the app that you would need to issue the refund?? I cancelled the subscription but I’d like the refund from the 1 month that I was charged.. can you help? Thank you
