Macbook Pro password incorrect?

I just tried to install a program and Installer said my password was incorrect - but I don't remember ever changing it? I'm using Catalina 10.15.7 on a 2019 Macbook Pro, all updates are current.

Is there an easy way to change my user password for my laptop without losing any browser tabs? (I work from home).
