Is there an application or program, etc for a 2009 Apple MacBook that will show how much screen time spent on doing what each day?

Might be. You haven't advised what system you have on your Mac so it's impossible to say.

Have a look yourself in the App store. I found a few options just by entering screen time so there are some third party options there. For Apple's Screen Time you would need to have at least macOS 10.15 Catalina, which I suspect is well beyond the capability of your 2009 Mac.

Thank you very much. I really appreciate the help. My young adult daughter is using the computer to watch movies and shows for several hours a day - sometimes 10++ hours! She looses track of time so we need to help her be able to count her time or check it or something. I'm open to suggestions on programs to shut the computer down after 3 hours of videos or movies, IF there's such a thing too!! The operating System is Catalina!!! Sorry I did not know to give that information.
