Passcode problem

I started a internship with the government yesterday and for some reason thought I needed the work email on my personal phone. It automatically made me change my password from 4 numbers and forced me to change it to the 8 characters. It’s not giving me the option to turn off passcode or change it back to 4 numbers. We were able to remove the email from outlook but it’s still not letting me.
