Notifications go silent after a while

I think others are having the same issues I am having. For some time now, people text me and and I get no notifications from them if my phone's been locked for some random amount of time. I've gone through sound, notifications, messages, general settings and every other possible combinations and can't get it to stop doing this to me. It's really frustrating, and other people apparently have the same problem. I've been seeing other threads on here where they are not helped or problem solved, so I'm just posting this so you all know your software needs some work in this area with the next update please!
