Caller ID for local calls showing international locations
This issue was reported here in 2018. No response or solution was found in that thread.
When receiving calls, my call log often shows the caller as coming from a foreign country because the "1" prefix was dropped from the caller's long distance number. Two examples:
A call received from a toll free number beginning with (855) appears in the call log as +85 with the caller identified as being in Cambodia (country code 85)
A call received from a toll free number beginning with (844) appears in the call log as +84 with the caller identified as being in Vietnam (country code 84)
This is very frustrating. I don't answer calls from numbers that I don't recognize, especially those that are shown as originating outside of the US.
Can anyone point me to a fix?
Thank you
