How do I find out if my printer has same wi fi connection as my phone and uverse?
My printer and my phone are both working but not communicating with each other

First of all, which exact printer model do you have?
Is the printer listed in About AirPrint - Apple Support?
If AirPrint, make sure that the printer and the iPhone are connected to the same Wi-Fi network (router).
You may want to post the router model (not any serial numbers, nor user names or passwords).
Check the router settings. Some modern dual-band routers have automatic device detection and band selection. This can be a problem. If necessary, check whether there is a change if you temporarily select, for example, 2.4 GHz only. Different network names may be required.
Also, the following power-cycling sequence could be worth testing: Power off the router, the printer, the iPhone, and all other devices/computers. Wait two to three minutes. Power on the router. Wait two to three minutes. Power on the printer. Wait a minute or two. Power on the iPhone. Finally, power on all other devices/computers.
