When I try to add a Gmail account to Mail by going to "Add Account" and choosing Gmail, it closes any open web browsers and then the popup window spins and disappears. I am using Mail 14.0 and am on OS 11.6.1. Any solutions?

Since it sounds like the account is reaching out to verify information via the web browser, you can also be sure there aren’t any extensions or pop-up blockers that may be preventing that. For Safari, you’d check that in Safari > Preferences > Websites and Safari > Preferences > Extensions.
