It looks like you're having an issue with an external drive that you're wanting to connect to your iPad. What type of device is this specifically and how are you connecting it to the iPad?
If you're using a USB drive, it's possible that you will need to reformat the drive using a computer in order for it to be compatible with the iPad as outlined here:
