Re: [Apple TV Hardware] - Apple-TV remote Pause/Play button sticks - dump, repairs or replacement?
@bruno75. Thanks for the reply.
Have not had a chance to follow up on this problem for a while, but I eventually got to the store that the Apple TV was purchased. I took my original repair report from the store with and presented it to them, explaining that the original problem was gone but the remote does not function mechanically as it was meant to. It was tested the same day I tried it again.
(I also compared it with a new one of a relative; no such problems there).
They looked at the purchase invoice and nodded. The guarantee has expired in the mean time. They would not take the issue up any more.
I was taken aback; just stammered that I will then have to contact Apple directly. They said: "Do that ... Bye"!
I hope that the Apple reaction will be better than that -- just bought a refurbished MBP16-2TB-32GB, but with 30 months guarantee. The 12 Months from Apple is at least extended in this case. Hope no problems occur with it.
Unfortunately the MBP refurbishing company does not have these remotes on offer. Does anyone know where only a new Apple-TV remote can be purchased online in the EU?
