Magic Mouse 2 lag issue resolved

I thought I'd share a problem (and subsequent solution) to my bluetooth Magic Mouse 2 that was lagging considerably. I would move the mouse and the cursor would barely move. The tl;dr is that there were two pieces of lint or fine pieces of hair in the cavity containing the IR light sensor. Once cleaned out things started working.

Initially I thought it was a bluetooth interference issue. But I tried restarting my computer, charging and resetting my mouse, and even turned off my WiFi router. My laptop sits up on a raised platform, with my mouse about 8 inches below and to the right, sitting on a mouse pad on my desk. I tried lifting my mouse up to my raised platform, where it worked just fine. Moved it back to the desk and no good. I then tried the mouse on the wooden desk without the mouse pad and it worked perfectly. That's when I turned the mouse over and saw the lint/hair in front of the sensor. As soon as I cleaned it out, it worked perfectly. So look for lint. That might be your problem.
