Will resetting my phone make me lose everything?

If you use Reset- reset all content & settings but you can back up to iCloud first: Erase iPhone - Apple Support

What does “Reset” mean exactly?
For example, if you do Settings > General > Transfer or Reset iPhone > Reset > Reset Network Settings, you won’t lose everything. You will only lose Network Settings.
