ring tone has stopped sounding for phone calls

The ring tone is silent on incoming calls. Do not disturb is off. Banner notification only of call.

Ring tone goes silent after 2 rings! My new iPhone 12, when incoming call comes in it ring load as normal for 2 ring then rings silent and cannot hear the phone ringing if away from phone. Why is this happening? can you please advise.
