Refund transaction pending

I purchased an iPhone online from my computer. The purchase was made using my Apple Card.


The phone was scheduled to be picked up the same day at my local Apple Store.

When I went to the Apple Store to pickup the phone I decided to get a different model. The store returned the phone I purchased so that I could purchase the other phone.


I am not able to make the purchase because the transaction is still in a pending status according to Goldman Sachs (Apple Card) and they have advised that this could take up to 14 days for the refund to be processed. The phone purchased and returned to stock was never in my possession.


What can I and who has the authority to resolve this problem?
