Delay in online purchases

Hey, I purchased an iPhone 13 online on oct 5th to pickup at store next day but it's still in processing after 10 days! I called apple several times and got no reason for delay, I visited pickup store and they referred me to call apple again! could I ask why apple website showing next day pickup before payment and after that the item is not ready to pickup? it was a gift to my wife and it has no value anymore! I chose Affirm payment and called affirm agent and merged call with apple agent they talked, and Affirm confirmed that its about apple and Apple agent offered me to cancel this order and buy in store and pay the full amount!!
