How to get rid of pop up captions?

I accidentally turned on something that now has every word on my iPhone 11 Pro with a white on black pop up caption. How do I get rid of it? I swear I’ve looked at everything in the settings and can’t find where I screwed up.

Turn close captioning off I have a iPhone 12. I know to turn off closed captions go to settings to accessibility to display the subtitles captions etc. and make sure they’re turned off. Close captioning came on without me asking it to suddenly this morning. I’ve tried everything to turn it off and cannot get it to do so.
