Music EQ Settings

Is it worth having the EQ set to FLAT or just leave it off (as I listen to so many different styles of music i would be constantly having to adjust the sound)?

Apple Music - EQ disengages after song change I have several EQ presets that I use as a musician, one of which is to notch out bass frequencies so I can play along with bass. However, after changing songs, the EQ no longer is engaged, despite the "On" setting being ticked. The only way to correct this is to un-tick and re-tick the check box in the Equalizer window. This is very annoying, as I tend to sit for hours cycling through my music library playing along with the music. This was not an issue prior to the upgrade to macOS Catalina and conversion to Music from iTunes.

Try a song (or songs) you like with both settings and see which suits you best or if it makes any difference.
