ipod touch 1st generation safari issues
Among my numerous technological relics I have a 1st Generation iPod Touch. It's not been used for a year or so but I came across the old docking station and decided to resurrect it again. We have had a new broadband router since the last use so joined the new wifi with ease but cannot access the app store and whilst I can get onto Google and search successfully on clicking any of the search results the sites won't open. Different results: You Tube results in a blank screen with greyed out boxes and Sign in to Google Account results in an error advising that cookies are disabled when they aren't.
On selecting iPhone Web Applications from my Bookmarks this is accessed successfully and yet whenever I try to access the App Store the error 'Cannot connect to iTune Store' is displayed.
This was working last time I had it in use without issue and is lovely to use in comparison to the newer generation one I also have, along with a much better battery, so would really like to get it sorted if anyone can help me?
I have totally reset it and then reinstated from last backup and it has the most up to date software available for it.
I hope someone has some Apple Magic out there to get me back up and running.
TIA
