Buying iPhone on ebay

Hi, I’m considering a new, sealed iPhone on eBay. I’ve bought before and been lucky. I know not all are genuine

the seller showed a fraud checker and it says the phone is 11 months old. I’m getting the serial number, to check on apple site

if I bought it, does that mean no apple warranty? Or does it start when you activate?

I had another apple product recently - watch - that when I put in the serial number, it said please activate. I’m not sure how old the watch was, but sealed and new.

wondering re a phone. No point if no warranty

Hello ~ The warranty starts on the day of sale from Apple or an Apple Authorized seller…so does the seller fall into that category? I would be extremely wary of a too good to be true situation.

Purchase from Apple, Directly:

Keep off of eBay, and get it from the manufacture: Apple. That way, you can avoid scams.

And you would be out the money while eBay decides if the now-unreachable phone number is worth chasing.

As to ratings ... I am sure a crook can get 20 other crooks to post 1000+ false reviews if they share in the profits.

How can you be sure that the seller is going to send you the same box that you saw online? I would be very wary of bait-and-switch.
