side car not working

I have a Macbook pro 2021 and an ipad 8 th gen for some reason the sidecar is not working it shows device timed out error.

I have tried the following

1.Signout of apple id and sign back in

2.reset network settings

3.Tried via wired connection

Still it doesnot work

Pls Provide your inputs regarding this

MacBook Pro 14″, macOS 12.1

1. First, please ensure the Mac meets the requirements, a 2021 version should, with the correct macOS: Use an iPad as a second display for a Mac - Apple Support



2. Next, check your iPad is compatible: Identify your iPad model - Apple Support



3. Check this addition settings next:


"Additional requirements


4. If you still have issues, try restarting both devices:

Thanks for checking all that.


Please verify you are signed in with the same Apple ID on your Mac and iPad: Sign in with your Apple ID


Mac: System Preferences > [Apple ID] > Check the correct Apple ID is signed in under your picture on the top left.


iPad: Settings > [You name] > Check the correct Apple ID is signed in on the iPad under your picture.


Also check Password & Security > Two-Factor Authentication says "On".

Is your computer running any third-party security? You may need to click the app and open a window to tap or click "Allow" to allow the connection with your Mac from your iPad.


If you can't find any option to allow this, or have no security on your devices, you'll need to contact Apple Support for them to continue troubleshooting this with you.
