Apple Pencil advice needed, pls help!

I use the Apple Pencil as a stylus for a number of reasons, mainly because I have severe arthritis in my hands and the medication give me the shakes. I’m looking for a rubber touch assistive end I can put on the top of my Apple Pencil. To explain, I have to use a second Touch stylus to maybe crop photos as the official Apple Pencil does doesn’t have that functionality.

I’m thinking of something like the eraser rubber tips we put on the end of our writing pencils at school. It would save me switching between the official pencil and a cheap rubber end pencil. The less switching etc I do the easier it is on my hands and the less morphine I have to take. Does anyone have any ideas that they could suggest or has anyone seen a rubber end?

thank you so much for reading:) Stay safe!

HI Michael

I don't think an eraser rubber tip would work. I have tried as the touch screen does not respond to the rubber.

What we do is cut the end off a cloth/rubber stylus leaving about 25-30mm of the tube. We use a pipe cutter for this which gives a clean cut. You can then slide this piece over another tube. We use aluminium tube to make the stylus longer. I would think you could slide this over the end of your apple pencil which would give you what you are looking for. We use rubber or cloth tipped stylus available from amazon.

Unfortunately my supply of stylus are in the office and I am not going in for 2 weeks otherwise I would try it on my apple pencil and send a photo. Happy to supply more details if you think this would help.

PS - I am a little surprised you cannot crop the photos with the pencil. Have you contacted the apple accessibility helpdesk to see if they know a way to do this. Email: accessibility@apple.com

Hope this assists.
