M1 Memory Leak Issues

Has anyone else had memory leak issues with their M1 Mac product? Some websites after a few minutes will use close to 7gbs of ram and I get a resource message in Safari. I have Apple support still since it is new but refuse to help me unless I upgrade to Monterey, which I do not want to do. I have 16gbs of ram and 1tb HD. It is embarassing to be quite frank that a simple article within Safari takes up about 7gbs. Their tech team even saw that. Refused to help. I am running the latest Mac OS Big Sur available, too. Anyone else with this problem?
