We'll be happy to help with your iPad mini and sound. Did this just start happening after updating the iPadOS to 15.2? To verify the iOS version, go to Settings > General > About.
Have you tried to Restart your iPad? If not, give that a try first.
Try the steps found in iPad User Guide – Change or turn off iPad sounds. We also have If you hear no sound or distorted sound from your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch speaker with steps to try.
