Well, here’s a link to the Lion installer…. https://support.apple.com/kb/DL2077?locale=en_CA
And try this link: https://isoriver.com/how-to-create-a-bootable-mac-os-usb-on-windows-pc/… basically you’d need a copy of TransMac running on your PC, plus the Lion installer in the link above and a usb stick of 8 gig or larger…

There are no viruses for Macs, so why do you feel you have one. You may have some other malware you download however those are usually easy to get rid of without having to resort to re-installing Mac OS.
This is a massive malware. It has taken over search and pretends to be safari. I have attempted to remove all the bits I can locate I know there is probably help somewhere to get it removed completely but have been unsuccessful in searching out that help. IMac is 2008 early model. Running Snow leopard 10.6.3. I don’t know how to clean install. And because I gave up trying to get help so long ago I have forgotten password for this computer.
Do you have the original Leopard Install Disc set that came with that iMac or the Retail Snow Leopard DVD that you used to upgrade it 10.6?
If so, then you can startup from either of those disc's to erase and reinstall the OS X.
Thanks for the reminder. I haven’t been eager to get back to the iMac in so long those steps have become faint memories. Will try later thanks
You're welcome.
