If the incorrect Birthdate puts them below the age of 13, then you will need to contact Apple Support to have them correct it. Click here-> contact Apple Support for age corrections

If the age is over 13, you can change it yourself, by following the steps here: Update the birth date associated with your Apple ID - Apple Support
