date in mail

My date for emails always says today, yesterday and everything else says 10/21/2019.

How/where do I correct this problem?

MacBook Air 13″, macOS 10.15

Date received has disappeared in Message list in Mail My Mail list always showed the hour received if today, Yesterday if received yesterday, and the date if earlier. That's all gone now!

Finder>List View>View menu item>Show View options>Uncheck Use Relative Dates.
