If I disable and delete photos can I re-download the ones I want to keep and the rest I don't want go?

Back Up iCloud:
As long as you download them first, then you can delete them from iCloud. So, I'd urge you to download them to a computer, and then on to a hard drive. Using a computer would be more user-friendly.
